We had a wonderful dinner as a group celebrating after graduation! Everyone loved what we ordered, and the owner/manager and staff were friendly and accommodating. I'm glad we made reservations. The space is larger than it appears from the outside and has a nice vibe. There's also outdoor seating in the back for nice days, Highly recommend!
Our food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy, but the real star is the staff! Our waiter was so kind and everyone was so welcoming to our son, who was acting out the nutcracker around the restaurant. We were there around 330, so it was quiet and perfect for an afternoon out. They had many tables set for reservations to arrive just as we were leaving.
Great hospitality from the servers, bartenders and host. Drinks were excellent and the meatballs are definitely delicious. I'm from out of state, far away from home. I felt very welcomed.
When walked in, we were greeted by warm smiles and a friendly welcoming. I have traveled all over the world. I've been to many Italian restaurants, but Salute is by far, the absolute BEST Italian restaurant we've ever been. Service -top notch. Food- excellent!
Let me start by saying what an amazing experience we had! My now husband and I got married at Hartford City Hall and wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner with our family. I chose this restaurant based on the great reviews since we’re not from Hartford, and boy, am I glad I did! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming. Jimmy had a lovely, quiet table ready for us and was incredibly kind. Our waitress, Michelle, was phenomenal, she truly made us feel like family. The food was outstanding, from the delicious cheesy bread to the complimentary dessert they surprised us with. Everything was absolute perfection. Salute is well worth the drive, and we will definitely be coming back!
I wanted to celebrate my friend’s birthday and I couldn’t think of another place I’d rather be. The owners and staff treat you like family. The garlic bread (eaten before the picture) is always a must and you can’t go wrong with their chicken parm, served with linguine. We both got the same thing and it did not disappoint. They serve you enough to have today and tomorrow. Reservations are recommended in advance as it fills up in the evenings. They also kindly offered her a free dessert and she had a chocolate lava cake with some ice cream. Would recommend this place to everyone near the Hartford area.
This restaurant is a breath of fresh air! The food was amazing...everything we had (and we tried a lot) was delicious! Cocktails were also good! I had the peachy keen (pictured). Very well crafted! The team that works here is truly a step above other restaurants. They are fun, and very professional. SN: try the biscotti, tiramisu and cheesecake. (The biscotti is one of the best I've ever had) ❤️
This restaurant had been newly remodeled and looks beautiful. The food is phenomenal. And the staff were all very pleasant. Very nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and try their famous cheesy garlic bread.
Best food in all of Connecticut; the meatballs were delicious, the short ribs were tender, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the potato lasagna was a standout side dish! The service was a 20 out of 10; James and Jimmy made our experience so special - we’re already planning our next visit. Atmosphere is nice; upbeat, modern, comfortable. Everything was perfect, prices are appropriate for what you get.
